About the Conference for Conferences
The Conference for Conferences was born out of my deep frustration at the current paradigm of conferences, where we consider it “normal” to invest lots of time, money, and energy in attending an event — only to end up disengaged, overwhelmed by information, and ultimately finding it more interesting to check our email than to listen to presentations.
I imagined a new paradigm of conference based on experiential learning that would be dynamic, emergent, fun, and immediately applicable to the participant’s life and work. It's time for conferences to focus on hands-on learning, building meaningful relationships, and for harnessing the wisdom in the room.
My first attempt at innovating the conference paradigm was in 2017 + 2018 when I founded The Culture Conference, an invite-only event for corporate leaders about transforming organizational culture from the inside out. Part personal transformation, part professional development, our four design principles were being interactive, engaging, actionable and fun, and I still stand by those today. In our first year, we were named one of the "Top 30 Conferences for Entrepreneurs" by Forbes Magazine.
I am so proud of and humbled by the amazing community that has gathered around this event, and the people who continue to pioneer the field of gathering.

Jenny Sauer-Klein
Founder + Executive Director
Jenny Sauer-Klein is the founder of The Primary Shift, an employee experience design studio that helps companies create dynamic offsites, trainings and summits that build trust, catalyze connection, and make learning stick. Jenny’s work explores how to make events more participatory, human, and collaborative.
Over the past 25+ years, she has designed and facilitated transformational experiences for more than 100,000 people including leading organizations including Airbnb, Google, Adobe, Cisco, Autodesk and Genentech.
She has founded groundbreaking convenings such as The Culture Conference, named one of Inc. Magazine’s “Top 30 Conferences for Entrepreneurs,” and The Conference for Conferences, featured in Bloomberg.
She is also the founder of Play on Purpose, a digital library of activities that catalyze connection and engagement for groups and teams.
A frequent lecturer at Stanford, UC Berkeley, and UT Austin, and a TEDx speaker, her work has been featured in The New York Times, Fast Company, Forbes, and Newsweek, as well as Tim Ferriss’ book Tools of Titans. Jenny lives in the SF Bay Area, with her husband, their two amazing little people, and her awesome mother-in-law, where she is constantly in motion with an ever-evolving collection of creative projects.
